Flying in Calgary takes planning
Calgary sits under controlled airspace around the airport, and wind off the foothills grounds a drone faster than almost anywhere in Alberta. We plan flights in advance (airspace, weather windows, site access, safety) and build the shoot day to flex: if the morning is unflyable, ground coverage moves up and aerials shift to the clear window.

Usually, yes. Most Calgary clients book aerial work as part of a larger production (a brand film, property listing, or site documentation project), which keeps it cost-effective and ensures the footage actually gets used.
Can you fly near downtown Calgary or the airport?
Parts of the city sit under controlled airspace. We plan every flight against the current airspace rules and secure what's needed before the shoot day, so you're never waiting on a permission that should have been sorted a week earlier.
Can you fly over industrial or active work sites?
Yes, with coordination. We plan flights with your site contact around access, safety requirements, and scheduling. It's standard practice for our industrial work across Alberta.
What about Calgary weather?
We watch the forecast and build weather windows into the schedule. Chinook winds and snow ground drones, so multi-purpose shoot days are planned to flex between ground and air coverage.
Do you deliver aerial photos as well as video?
Yes. High-resolution aerial stills are typically captured on the same flight plan, useful for listings, reports, web headers, and print.
